JOHANNESBURG - Telkom has reported a strong third quarter, driven by rising demand for data services.
The telecommunications group says its data revenue climbed nearly 10 percent.
It accounts for around 60 percent of total revenue, with mobile data up almost 13 percent and fibre data also growing.

Mobile subscribers have topped 25 million, while earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation rose more than 8 percent.
It was on the back of cost optimisation and solid service demand.
Telkom says its data-led strategy positions the company well for future growth.
