JOHANNESBURG - Tiger Brands has renewed and expanded its partnership with logistics company Transnova.
Transnova has worked with Tiger Brands since 2016.
The JSE-listed food producer retained the company after a competitive open tender process concluded in June.
Transnova will continue managing Tiger Brands' national distribution network.
The operation moves about two million tonnes of finished goods every year.
It delivers products to more than 4,000 customers across 190,000 locations nationwide.
The expanded partnership comes as Tiger Brands reshapes its business.
The company is selling non-core assets and focusing on higher-margin brands.
Tiger Brands says the partnership has generated more than R300-million in transport and network savings over the past decade.
