JOHANNESBURG - Tiger Brands has announced that it will be making settlement offers to specific people who suffered damages after contracting listeriosis from its products.

Tiger Brands says they are not an admission of liability.

To protect the privacy of the individuals participating in the settlement offer, no details will be made public.

Attorneys for the plaintiffs will be presenting claimants with the offer over the next few weeks.

The class action, which is being managed in two stages, is still at the first stage where Tiger Bands' liability is to be determined by the Court.
