JOHANNESBURG - It's December and for many it means getting paid as early as 15 December.

With the excitement of the season, last-minute Christmas shopping and all the expenses that come with travel and entertainment over the period, consumers run the risk of having more month than money left by the time Januworry arrives.

Consumers are under pressure from a cost-of-living crisis and low levels of economic growth, with eight in ten consumers saying they are feeling money stresses.

This has led many to take on additional debt with a recent household survey finding that 44 percent of consumers are struggling to pay off debt.
