Transnet Ports Authority executive, two managers suspended

JOHANNESBURG - Transnet has placed the chief executive of the Transnet National Ports Authority and two managers on precautionary suspension.

Ports Authority CEO Pepi Silinga has been on leave of absence since January while allegations against him of corruption and mismanagement are investigated.

In a statement on Friday afternoon, the State-owned logistics firm says it is expediting investigations.
