
JOHANNESBURG - Transnet Port Terminals says its cleared all backlogs at its Cape Town terminals.
The company says this is part of its recovery plan ahead of the deciduous fruit season which begins next month.
An additional ship-to-shore crane has been added to operations to boost productivity.
Transnet has committed more than R450-million to infrastructure development at the port of Cape Town, Mossel Bay, and Saldanha.
It also says that an extension of services has been granted to Mossel Bay and Saldanha which will allow luxury cruise liners to call on them and boost tourism.
