NEW YORK - Twitter has been hacked.
There are fears over 200 million email addresses have been released on an online hacking forum.
A cybersecurity firm says the breach will lead to spikes in hacking, targeted phishing and doxxing.
It says this is one of the most significant breaches at the social media giant.
The hack was reported on Christmas Eve, but neither Twitter nor Elon Musk has responded.
It's not clear at his stage if any action has been taken to probe or remediate the issue has been taken.
