Two-Pot withdrawals temporarily suspended

JOHANNESBURG -  The two-pot retirement withdrawal applications has been temporarily suspended.

The suspension kicks in on Tuesday until 21 October.

This was announced by the Government Employees Pension Fund (GEPF).

Until then, members will not be able to submit new withdrawal requests.

According to the GEPF, "this pause is necessary to allow the Fund to update its systems with the recently implemented actuarial factors used to calculate members' benefits."

"During this time, members will not be able to submit new savings withdrawal applications through the self-service platforms. However, all other benefits payments and services will not continue as normal."

The Fund says savings withdrawal functionality will be reinstated on 22 October once the updates have been successfully completed.
