JOHANNESBURG - Youth unemployment is at alarming levels in South Africa.
This is compounded by the high number of young people not in education or training.
Statistics on women without jobs or clear employment prospects also paint a grim picture.
According to Buhlebethu Magwaza from Non-Profit Organisation, Youth Capital there is a gab between skills offered and jobs available, there is slow economic growth but lack of opportunities.
As a result there is an urgent need for the country to relook at its strategy to create sustainable employment.
