How Tender Fraudsters Get Away With Looting: Target The Poorest

The clamour around the Independent Development Trust and its suspended CEO Tebogo Malaka continues to rise. New reporting from the Daily Maverick has alleged that Malaka collaborated with an organisation to steal manual labourers salaries for personal enrichment. 

This falls in line with a trend amongst government corruption schemes in South Africa: targeting poorer people who have less sway in society, making it easier to get away with. Let’s get in to it.
