The popular Open Chats podcast has found itself mired in controversy recently, after some members made inflammatory comments about the Coloured community. This has sparked backlash from across the political spectrum, from the ANC, DA and PA to the EFF.
This follows on from recent news that Minnie Dlamini has open a case against host Mac G, for defamatory comments he made on his podcast. In light of this, should podcasts be regulated like other forms of media and how could it be done?
