Three significant events transpired in the last week: General Rudzani Maphwanya made some ill-advised statements on a trip in Iran and both Senzo Mchunu and Malusi Gigaba publicly criticised the ANC. These events would be important in isolation but all together suggests that President Cyril Ramaphosa is potentially losing his grip on the ANC.
