A bill has passed the US Foreign Affairs Committee to take action against ANC leaders over issues of foreign policy. These accusations relate to South Africa’s membership to BRICS, association with Russia and the case against Israel at the ICJ. Whilst the bill is still a ways off from being put in to effect, it’s worth diving in to understand why it has gained traction.
