Komati proves possibility of Just Transition, says energy expert

JOHANNESBURG - The Komati Power Station is an example of what can be achieved through the Just Energy Transition.

That's according to energy expert Sampson Mamphweli.

He says Eskom and government can draw lessons from it to implement better transition models.

The transition aims to move toward renewables without affecting jobs and communities.

Mamphweli says as experts they have proposed ways to ensure power stations continue performing.
