VOSLOORUS - As the world celebrates Christmas, hospitals and families are sharing the joy of new arrivals – Christmas babies.
In South Africa and around the globe, these little bundles of joy are bringing happiness to loved ones.
In Gauteng, the health MEC and Ekurhuleni mayor gifted new mothers at the Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital.
The Mayor of Ekurhuleni, Nkosindiphile Xhakaza, also attended the gift-giving ceremony and congratulated the new mothers for their Christmas bundles of joy.
He emphasised today as a day of celebration and a day where the spirit of giving is very important.
"We are giving these gifts to ensure that the new mothers are actually supported and they get to celebrate and enjoy their Christmas."
