JOHANNESBURG - Tributes and messages of condolences are pouring in for Legendary actress Nandi Nyembe who has died at the age of 75.
Nyembe was best known for her role as Sister Lizzie on the SABC 1 drama series Soul City,
as well as Nandi Sibiya on the soccer drama Zone 14.
Throughout her remarkable 53-year career, Nyembe brought to life some of the most iconic characters, on South African television.
The award-winning actress had been wheelchair-bound due to her deteriorating health.
Many say Nyembe was far more than an actress.
She was the soul of storytelling, a great mentor and teacher, and mother to the nation.
