Love Song

English poem by: Sarah Frost

Theme: Love

These hot nights with a thirst I can’t slake, to find my beloved

The dark pulsing in my throat, an ache, to find my beloved

My gentle arms are empty, waiting only to embrace him

Such restless nights I spend awake, to find my beloved

The spirals of my ear listening for his untold stories

There’s a wide world for us to make, to find my beloved

My darling, in my dreams I search for you, but you are missing

When will you come? How long will it take, to find my beloved

Angels when you do find him out, bring him to my mother’s house

There will he know me, for love’s sake, to find my beloved
