Art Joburg | Africa re-union unveiled at Art Fair

JOHANNESBURG - FNB Art Joburg – Africa’s longest running contemporary art fair – has kicked off at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg from Friday.

ENCA looks at one of the artworks that reimagines Africa.

Africa Re-Union is an artwork showing African leaders around a table looking at a map of Africa showing the continent upside down. 

It was conceived and created by the founder of Brand Africa, Thebe Ikalafeng, and realized on canvas by South African artist Mark Modimola.
