PIETERMARITZBURG - The skies over Pietermaritzburg are set to come alive with a spectacle unlike any other.
This Saturday, families, aviation enthusiasts and music lovers are invited to Oribi Airport for a day of entertainment where culture meets adrenaline.
The third annual Fuze Aviation Airshow and Family Fun Day promises a blend of live music, high-flying aerial displays and roaring engines.
Headlining the event will be world-renowned, five-time Grammy Award winners Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
Beyond the music, attendees can expect a packed programme featuring the SkellyWags Stunt Show, showcasing tyre-shredding drift action and extreme automotive stunts.
Adding to the excitement, the Ubuntu Bikers will demonstrate their skill and community spirit on two wheels, while visitors can also get up close to a display of classic vintage cars and thrilling motorsport action.
Fuze Aviation specialises in cadet pilot training and aircraft maintenance for public and private sector clients across Southern Africa and beyond through the Fuze Aviation Academy.
The academy operates a five-star, state-of-the-art training and aircraft maintenance facility at Oribi Airport, providing aspiring pilots and aviation professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to build successful careers in the industry.
According to the company, its programmes go beyond the requirements of local and international regulatory bodies to ensure graduates are well prepared for employment.
Since its establishment, Fuze Aviation has trained 18 pilots and 100 aircraft maintenance apprentices, including 60 mechanical and 40 avionics specialists.
“Our training programmes go beyond the requirements of local and international bodies, aiming to equip our graduates with the skills required by potential employers. As a South African Civil Aviation Authority-authorised Aircraft Maintenance Organisation and an Approved Training Organisation, we have the track record and capability to maintain aircraft from all aviation authorities in Africa,” the company said.
