‘This is a big loss’ – KZN MEC pays tribute to Scebi Dlamini

UMSINGA - Friends, family, fellow Maskandi artists and fans laid artist Scebi Dlamini to rest.

The 29-year-old was being laid to rest in his hometown of Msinga, in KZN.

Dlamini died in a car crash in Richards Bay last Sunday, while on his way to perform at a festival. Dlamini died with Sipho "Gupta" Mchunu, his backup singer and stage crew member.

Mntomuhle Khawula, the Provincial MEC for Sports, Arts and Culture attended the funeral, he said the industry has lost one of its greatest.

“Indeed, the whole province of KZN, the country and the industry are grieving this big loss. The kind of talent that has come out of uMsinga is amazing. Condolences to the Mchunu and Dlamini families and to the whole area of uMsinga and uMzinyathi.”
