CAPE TOWN – Beloved South African entertainer Soli Philander was laid to rest on Cape Town.

He is remembered as a cultural voice who united audiences through laughter and storytelling.
Hundreds of friends, family, fans and colleagues came to bid farewell to a giant of the performing arts. They made it clear they did not come to mourn the death of Soli Philander but to celebrate him. He was a versatile artist who criss-crossed from stage to television to radio.
The hundreds of people came from different walks of life for his last hurrah. They represented who Soli was and stood for.
Always on the side of the downtrodden, the vulnerable and the marginalised.
