Mountaineer conquers Mount Everest for GBV survivors

JOHANNESBURG - One South African has went to the end of the earth to fight the scourge of gender-based violence.

Philanthropist and adventurer Angela Yeung, literally put her life on the line to raise awareness and make a change.

On the 24th of May, she summited Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world.

The activist is on the mission to collect 8, 849bras, one for every metre of the world famous peak. The bras collected across the country will become part of her Bras For Humanity initiative.

This campaign symbolises the oppression, liberation and resilience of women in South Africa.

Yeung had a sit down with eNCA's Gareth Edwards and spoke about her campaigns and her journey up the highest peak on planet earth.
