JOHANNESBURG - South Africa’s telecoms infrastructure is under strain, and the current system is unsustainable.
It's largely due to the growth of online streaming services like Netflix and YouTube.
The Association of Comms and Technology says these platforms rely on local networks to deliver their content.
But it says it contributes nothing to maintaining or expanding that infrastructure.
