Peabo Bryson dies, aged 75

Legendary R&B singer Peabo Bryson has died, aged 75.

His career spanned over 50 years and helped define modern soul and was the sound of the movies.

Bryson died on Tuesday evening, surrounded by family. He was receiving medical care after suffering a stroke.

He will be remembered for his silky vocals going back to the 1970s, including his duet with Roberta Flack in Tonight, I Celebrate My Love.

He was recognised with Grammys for his Disney duets A Whole New World and Beauty and the Beast.

His family says his music was the soundtrack of generations, and though he is dead, the music will always find a way.
