She was a respected voice, known for sharp analysis, fearless reporting, and holding powerful figures to account.

The renowned political journalist died in hospital after a short illness.
At the time of her death, she was associate editor for politics at EWN.
EWN Editor in Chief Nisa Allie says at 42-years Madia still had a lot to contribute to the world.
"We are still trying to find the words to make sense of everything," she says.
