SANParks successfully relocates 42 elephants

ADDO ELEPHANT PARK - It was a jumbo operation in every sense of the word, and it went off without a hitch.

SANParks and the Global Humane Conservation Fund of Africa pulled off a carefully planned mission.

They relocated elephants from Addo’s Main Camp to the Kabouga section, around 50 kilometres away.

It took three days to move the 42 gentle giants.

They now have more room to roam and will help restore the ecological balance in a park that’s now home to over 850 elephants.
