JOHANNESBURG - Gospel singer Mmatema Moremi has released her long-awaited album, Heart of Gratitude, just in time for Easter Sunday.
The album, recorded live at the State Theatre in December, offers a deeply personal journey of worship, faith, and gratitude.
Mmatema says it’s been nine years since fans have heard anything from her, and she feels this is why it has been positively welcomed by her fans.
"This album is my journal. I call it a gratitude journal, going deep into how God has touched my life from my marriage to family, my relationships, my job, and everything in between," Mmatema explained.
Touching on one of the songs in the album 'He still can' the singer says it is a "love letter to God" that expresses her gratitude for his amazing work in her life.
"I believe that if he did it for you, he will do it for me. But more than anything, it's a declaration of his unchanging love," she said.
