DALLAS - Elon Musk is taking the sports car to another dimension, and it looks like something straight out of science fiction.
The Tesla CEO has unveiled the second-generation Roadster at a SpaceX testing facility in Texas.
Demonstrations showed the car appearing to fly over trucks and perform mid-air flips.
Musk says the Roadster will feature rocket thrusters, taking performance to new heights -- quite literally!
And there may be a nostalgic inspiration behind the futuristic design.
Musk has said Knight Rider, the classic TV series featuring the talking, high-tech car KITT, was one of his favourite shows as a child.
