Trevor Noah scoops Emmy Award

LOS ANGELES - Funnyman Trevor Noah has scooped an Emmy Award for the Daily Show.

The South African won for best Talk Series.

That win broke John Oliver's winning streak of eight years in a row in the category.

The win at the 75th Emmy Awards coincides with Noah's final year on the Daily Show.

The show received 15 nominations since he joined in 2015, replacing long-time host John Stewart.
