JOHANNESBURG - Motorists were astonished when a lion made a daring escape while being transported in the North West.
The animal was caught on video breaking out from the roof of a wildlife transporter before leaping to the ground while the vehicle was still in motion.
The driver immediately pulled over before making off into an area in the vicinity of Lichtenburg and Zeerust.
The escape artist has been recaptured safely.
