A giant balloon that became a popular landmark over the skies of Paris during the 2024 Olympics is set to rise again, with organisers hoping it will once again attract crowds of tourists.

The Netherlands on Saturday officially handed back to Nigeria 119 precious ancient sculptures, stolen from the former kingdom of Benin more than 120 years ago during the colonial era.

The brains behind the idea is 27-year-old Jody De Mink.

This is in celebration of art, culture, diverse heritage and the Afrikaans language.

Saturday would have been his 39th birthday.
