JOHANNESBURG - Athletics South Africa (ASA) has extended its deepest condolences to the family of Elizabeth “Tsontso” Moselakgomo.
Moselakgomo went missing last week after leaving her home in Rhodesfield for a run.
The 38-year-old is among five women whose deaths are being investigated in the Kempton Park area.
Her body was positively identified by her family at the Germiston mortuary on Monday.

ASA said the circumstances surrounding Moselakgomo’s death are deeply distressing and highlight the vulnerability of women who should be able to participate in sport and exercise without fear for their safety.
“As the athletics family, we are deeply saddened by the loss of Elizabeth,” said ASA Acting CEO, Terrence Magogodela.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and all those affected by this tragedy. We trust that the ongoing investigation will establish the truth and that those responsible will be brought to justice."

Moselakgomo's team, Team Vitality, said they will remember her for who she was: an avid runner and a valued member of the Team Vitality community.
"Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Elizabeth’s family, her child, friends, loved ones and everyone whose lives she touched. We cannot begin to imagine the pain they are experiencing and we stand with them during this incredibly difficult time," Team Vitality said in a statement.
"We ask the running community and the public to keep Elizabeth’s family and loved ones in their thoughts during this time."
