AKA and Tibz murder trial set to begin in October

DURBAN - More than a year after pre-trial proceedings began, the murder case of rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane is finally moving towards trial.

The seven accused will remain in custody, with the first trial sitting scheduled for October and the matter continuing into 2027.

The judge has also warned against further delays, saying she hopes the case can be finalised before the end of 2028.
