JOHANNESBURG - Trade union federation Cosatu is expected to announce its new leadership on Wednesday, following its reconvened congress in Kempton Park earlier this week.
The congress resumed despite a pending legal challenge, after the federation’s previous gathering collapsed amid disagreements over leadership.
Outgoing president Zingiswa Losi has accepted her nomination for the position of general secretary, setting up a contest against incumbent Solly Phetoe.
Meanwhile, deputy president Mabutho Cele and first deputy president Mike Shingange are vying for the federation’s top position.
