eNCA Election Projection | DA could retain Cape Town

JOHANNESBURG - According to eNCA's election projection, the Democratic Alliance will retain control of the City of Cape Town.

By 7 am 9.6% of the votes have been counted. This means that Geordin Hill-Lewis will get a second term as mayor of the City.

While the DA won many wards in the metro, some losses were a reality. But not substantial enough for the party to lose overall control.

According to projections, the Patriotic Alliance has also made inroads.

According to the data, DA voters showed up in their numbers on Wednesday, giving confidence to the projection.

The party gained 20% support in Khayelitsha, despite losing support in Mitchells Plain and parties like the Patriotic Alliance, National Coloured Congress, and Al-Jamah-ah are gaining support.

However, the suburban areas remain strong supporters of the DA.
