The laptop, the MP and the emails: Fadiel Adams' IT woes

DURBAN - Laptopgate seems to be in full swing.

eNCA has obtained screenshots that could shed new light or not on suspended MP Fadiel Adams’ claims about his ongoing laptop problems.

Adams told the Madlanga Commission that his laptop troubles had repeatedly affected his work, and said Parliament could attest to his difficulties.

Parliament, however, denied having any knowledge of his I.T. problems.

In an interview on Thursday, Adams said he had forwarded evidence of his claims to eNCA.

eNCA can now exclusively reveal what the embattled MP sent us.

Adams provided eight screenshots of conversations with Parliamentary officials.

The screenshots include written Parliamentary questions, a request for documents and a transcript of an Ad Hoc Committee meeting.

According to Adams, the screenshots are evidence of his communications with Parliamentary officials in which he raised his laptop problems.

The evidence could now put the focus back on the dispute between Adams and Parliament — and raise the question of whether his screenshots support his claims.
