Lwandle community demands answers after mass shooting

LWANDLE - An 11th victim has died following the mass shooting at a Lwandle shisanyama in the Western Cape.

The latest death was confirmed as mourners gathered to remember those killed in last weekend’s attack.

Religious leaders and community members used the memorial service to demand stronger policing, more surveillance and greater protection for residents.

The shooting has left the community traumatised, with many questioning whether they are safe in their own neighbourhood.

Police have deployed a team of detectives to investigate the killings.

The investigation is continuing, with no arrests reported at this stage.
