JOHANNESBURG - Police are working to trace the kingpins behind two drug shipments worth nearly R2.8-million intercepted at O. R. Tambo International Airport this week.
Officers first discovered crystal meth valued at about R2.2-million during a routine inspection at a cargo warehouse on Wednesday. Authorities say the drugs were destined for the Philippines.

A second bust followed on Thursday at another cargo warehouse, where police uncovered eight large boxes containing dagga worth around R672,000.
Investigators are now trying to identify the traffickers who attempted to move the narcotics through the airport and the criminal networks believed to be behind the shipments.
