BONGWENI - The community of Bongweni says it will not rest until justice is served.
The body of three-year-old Nstikayethu Blukwe was discovered in a river on Tuesday afternoon.
Search and rescue teams had been looking for the child since he was reported missing last week.
Residents have raised suspicions about the boy’s father, claiming he has a history of abuse.
The child’s mother Sinovuyo Blukwe says she is struggling to process what has happened.
She told eNCA that her husband had a long history of abusing her and that the couple had since separated.
She says she never reported the abuse at the time, saying she remained silent out of love, but is now trying to make sense of the tragedy.
