BLOEMFONTEIN - Twelve people including five children have been killed and several others injured in a bus crash on the N1 Highway in the Free State.
The accident happened between Trompsburg and Edenburg overnight.
Authorities say the bus carrying 60 passengers overturned but are yet to determine the cause of the crash.
The stretch of highway had to be closed for hours and motorists driving around that area are urged to be cautious.
