MTUBATUBA – The N2 is closed following a head-on collision between a Toyota Quantum and a truck. The crash resulted in the deaths of 11 people near Nkwiliza bridge in Mtubatuba.
KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Transport and Human Settlements Siboniso Duma has expressed his deepest condolences to the families of 11 people who died in the accident.
"The head-on collision occurred at 4am along the N2, in Inkosi Mtubatuba Local Municipality."
The minibus taxi was travelling northbound and the truck was travelling southbound at the time of the collision.
Eight other people were critically injured and sustained burn wounds.
