JOHANNESBURG - The 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children officially begin on Tuesday.
The Minister in the Presidency for Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities, Sindiswe Chikunga, will launch the campaign in Midrand.
We observe this year’s campaign under the theme Letsema.
It's a Sesotho or Setswana word meaning people coming together to work for a common purpose.
It calls on all men, women, boys and girls to work together to end gender-based violence and femicide.
Chikunga told us last week that the fight against GBV and femicide is an everyday battle.
