JOHANNESBURG - The 260 miners trapped underground at a Sibanye-Stillwater mine have been rescued.
Management confirmed all workers at the mine near Westonaria are accounted for and safe.

They were trapped when a skip door opened unexpectedly, spilling debris into the shaft.
Mineworkers' union NUM is now questioning the delay in reporting the incident and is demanding accountability.
Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on Minerals also wants a report from the Chief Inspector of Mines.
