49 Afrikaners to leave SA for US on chartered flight

JOHANNESBURG - The first group of 49 Afrikaner 'refugees' is set to leave for the US on Sunday.

The group is expected to arrive in the "promised land" as soon as Monday, where they will be welcomed by Washington officials.

It followed falsehoods about expropriation and white genocide in the country.

Pretoria says it respects rights to freedom of movement and association and won't stop anyone from leaving.
