ActionSA to file criminal charges against Ramaphosa

JOHANNESBURG – ActionSA says it will file criminal charges against President Cyril Ramaphosa on Wednesday.

The party said the charges would be for the violation of the Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act, perjury, fraud and making false statements to the police.

This it said related to recent media reports suggesting that Ramaphosa failed to disclose the exact amount stolen from the sofa at his Phala Phala farm in Limpopo.

Recent media reports suggested that the amount stolen in the 2020 theft was actually R15 million and not the R10 million previously disclosed.

“We will continue pursuing accountability through all available constitutional mechanisms to ensure that no one, including the President is above the law,” ActionSA said in a statement.
