AmaNdebele King Makhosonke II dies at 65

JOHANNESBURG - The reigning amaNdebele King Makhosonke II has died at the age of 65.

The King passed away on Tuesday, after reining for 40 years.

President Cyril Ramaphosa offered a message of condolences to the King, Her Majesty Queen Sekhotali, the amaNdebele and Basotho nation from whom the Queen is a descendant. 

"We will, in due course, pay tribute to the King as a pillar of national unity," Ramaphosa said.
