Phethe Simiao appeared in court on Friday.
JOHANNESBURG - Sentencing procedures for the man convicted of murdering six-year-old Amantle Samane begin today.
The 25-year-old Mozambican national, Phethe Simiao confessed to raping, kidnapping and killing the Soweto girl.

He also pleaded guilty to contravening the Immigration Act, during his appearance in the High Court in Johannesburg on Friday.
Amantle disappeared from her Orlando West home in October.
Her body was found in Simiao's home in Orlando East, days later.
