JOHANNESBURG - Tuesday marked day two of the ANC's National General Council in Boksburg.
ANC Limpopo chairperson Stan Mathabatha said there is only one thing on the discussion agenda: the national democratic revolution.
The consolidated report on the party's renewal dominates the day's talks.
ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa warned members that if the party doesn't renew itself, it will die.
Mathabatha said, "the ANC is doing a lot to redeem itself. The ANC is doing a lot to renew itself. And it can only renew itself if it has social cohesion within the African National Congress."
"When comrades inside the African National Congress start to realise that they are comrades and there are no enemies."
"When they go to conferences they must understand they're going to conferences with comrades. There is no enemy in that conference, there is no opposition in that conference."
He said differences between party members should not be antagonistic.
The current Limpopo ANC chairperson said "looking at the struggle we are facing now, the current revolutionary epoch in which we are, dictates that I must prioritise the ANC."
