JOHANNESBURG - Joburgers are taking their frustrations to the streets.
Residents of Melville and Westdene are protesting over the lack of water supply.
This dry spell has lasted for more than 20 days.
But, residents say this happens too frequently.
They say pipe leaks and burst pipes sit without attention for days and weeks.
The City then puts out alerts of systems under strain, blaming it on residents.
Community members are now begging for what is a basic human right.
Residents are also frustrated by high municipal rates for services that are largely unavailable.
