CAPE TOWN - Activists in Samora Machel, Cape Town, want an urgent meeting with authorities, after the killing of three high school pupils within three weeks.
The Western Cape Education Department has asked for police patrols during peak hours to help safeguard schools.
Provincial police have yet to make arrests for the murders.
Gunmen killed 15-year-old Azinani Fukula on Wednesday.
Her aunt, who arrived first on the scene, says the Grade 10 pupil was hit in the face, neck and chest.
The family refutes rumours that the shooters targeted the girl because she had witnessed the murder of a pupil a week before.
